Turn your iDevice into your Teacher’s Assistant!

About a year ago I purchased an iPad for my personal use. I never dreamed that it would transform my life as an educator.  I use my iPad every single day as a tool to manage and organize student behavior, habits, and academics (along with many other things). The app that I use to track and manage student behavior is Teacher's Assistant Pro.   Check out the short overview video below, courtesy of the developers.

This app has assisted me in reflecting on the behavior and habits of my students and also on my own classroom management skills. This app allows me to easily track the details of student behavior and habits. It has been a great resource for myself, students, parents and admin when discussing student behavior and repetitive problems.   What I really appreciate about this app is that there are video tutorials for all the different features.   I wish every app had a tutorial!  Do yourself a favor and check out the overview video above.

Paid Version ($7.99)                                 Free Version

The app is available in the iTunes store for iPads, iPhones and iTouches. There is also a “lite” version (free), it is indeed a “lite” version as it only allows you to pre-program 5 student names 3 behaviors/actions to choose from.

Have you tried Teacher's Assistant??
What tricks do you have for managing student behavior??

  1. This is my favorite teacher app! It is such an easy way to track and share student conduct. There are very few apps that I will purchase, but this is one that I have never regretted the charge.
